Authors submitting to Annals of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology (ACGH) are expected to conduct and report research responsibly, transparently, and ethically in line with scholarly publishing standards, including those set by COPE, ICMJE, and WAME.

1. Originality & Plagiarism

All submissions must represent original work, not under consideration elsewhere, and properly cite all sources. Manuscripts are screened with tools like iThenticate. Articles with over 20–25% similarity—excluding quotes, bibliographies, or standard phrases—are subject to rejection.

2. Ethical Conduct & Approvals

Manuscripts reporting research involving human or animal subjects must include ethics approval and informed consent. Clinical trials should adhere to ICH-GCP principles, Declaration of Helsinki, and local regulations, and be registered appropriately.

3. Transparency & Reproducibility

Authors are required to provide complete methodological details including data, protocols, and analysis methods to allow reproducibility. Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be declared. Any overlapping or related publications must be transparently acknowledged.

4. Open Access & Licensing

ACGH is fully open access under the CC-BY 4.0 license. Authors grant broad reuse rights while retaining attribution to the original creators. Use of journal content must not remove or obscure copyright notices or author attribution.

5. Upholding Research Integrity

ACGH upholds standards of honesty, accountability, and adherence to ethical norms. Any misconduct—such as plagiarism, falsification, or duplicate submission—is handled according to COPE guidelines.

6. Corrective Actions

ACGH maintains archival versions of all articles, including those retracted or withdrawn. Retraction notices are issued when necessary to maintain transparency and trust in the scholarly record.

7. Author Accountability

  • All listed authors must have made significant intellectual contributions.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work.
  • Errors detected after publication must be promptly reported to the editorial office.
