Editorial Responsibilities
ACGH’s editorial leadership is dedicated to ensuring rigor, integrity, and scholarly excellence. The responsibilities below outline the roles of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board in upholding these standards.
Editor-in-Chief
- Holds full authority for publication decisions and ensures scientific quality, ethical compliance, and editorial integrity.
- Stays abreast of literature, research design, statistics, publication ethics, and evolving journal standards.
- Guides editorial board members on updated policies and oversees timely execution of peer review processes.
- Implements and enforces policies concerning complaints, appeals, and ethics in alignment with ICMJE and COPE guidelines.
- Maintains continuity of editorial leadership and serves as an advisor for journal strategy and development.
Qualification expectations include substantial academic publications and senior professional experience.
Editorial Board Members
- Provide guidance and oversight for peer review, manuscript quality, and policy adherence.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to support authors, reviewers, and the Editor-in-Chief.
- Ensure manuscript integrity—verifying originality and adherence to journal scope and standards.
- Oversee clear presentation and consistent formatting of manuscripts according to journal guidelines.
- Promote timely and effective peer review, ensuring publication quality and ethical compliance.
Every editorial member is expected to contribute by reviewing approximately ten manuscripts per year and engage deeply in the journal’s editorial workflow.
