Effect of combined linagliptin and metformin on lipid profile in high-fat diet/streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. (A) Total cholesterol (TC), (B) Triglycerides (TG), (C) Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and (D) High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C). Combined treatment improved lipid profile by lowering TC, TG, LDL-C and increasing HDL-C levels in diabetic rats. Values are expressed as mean ± SEM (n = 8). Ysignificant at p < 0.05 compared with control; Gsignificant at p < 0.05 compared with untreated diabetic group; Qsignificant at p < 0.05 compared linagliptin and metformin alone-treated diabetic groups.
